Our kids chipped in this Christmas and bought us a Roku. It’s a $99 device that allows you, as a Netflix subscriber, to watch movies and TV shows instantly from Netflix’ database of 12,000 choices (and getting bigger all the time).
The set up was amazingly simple. Just plugged in, followed on screen instructions, plugged in our wireless access code, and voila - immediate internet access to our online queue. No more $4-5 per movie via PayPerView or Blockbuster. Available when we want without traveling to pick up a dvd.
All you need is a minimum Netflix subscription of $8.99 per month and internet access. We’ve got 133 movies in our queue at the moment. Haven’t even tapped into the archived TV shows (the classics are great). Gotta love technology. Now just to get it on my iPhone!
