Although I’ve had business cards for years, it seems that I never have any with me when I need them. I still think they’re helpful but the reality is that even when I receive a business card from someone else, I always transfer the info to my electronic address book then pitch the card. No matter how cool the business card may be, I just don’t keep them as I did years ago.
That’s why I’m excited about Dropcard. It allows you to build a business and personal profile online. When you meet someone who would like your contact info, you can send your “card” to them using their email address. You can send by texting from your cell phone or online.
For iPhone users, the Dropcard website looks great and is very easy to send your info. Texting is probably still the easiest. I just created a contact for Dropcard with its number to send text messages for quick access.
