Last week, film producer Michael Moore reflected on how the Republican National Convention would be affected by Hurricane Gustav, “Gustav is proof that there is a God in Heaven.” Just another example of the brilliance we’ve come to expect from Moore.

I’m happy to read this morning: “New Orleans Largely Spared By Hurricane Gustav”. This past Sunday, our congregation came together in prayer for the Gulf Coast, as I’m sure many churches did, asking God to weaken the storm and minimize the damage. I didn’t need any proof of a God in Heaven. I am, however, extremely relieved and thankful that He answered our prayer.
