I taught today on some basics for Bible study. I’ve done so numerous times over the last 20 years but today was different. I used to recommend a basic assortment of Bible handbooks, commentaries, dictionaries, etc. Even though I included a few of those recommendations today, my main recommendation was to simply access one of several great websites.
Much of what I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on in my study library is now available for free online! Sites such as studylight.org have an amazing collection of Bible resources. There really are no barriers to eager Bible students from discovering the treasures of God’s Word.
Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.
